Who we are
The Bedwas, Machen, Michaelston-y-Fedw & Rudry Parish Trust is a charitable organisation that helps the local Church and community in the area. Above all else, we’re followers of Jesus Christ. We believe that He was the Son of God, and that He meant what He said to His disciples, “I have come that you may have life, and have life abundant”. We live our lives by taking Him at His word.
Our faith in Jesus is what drives The BMMR Parish Trust, and this inspires us to make a positive difference in our church and communities, by providing spiritual, pastoral, and practical services for everyone.
Where we come from
The BMMR Parish Trust was started by the Reverend Dean Aaron Roberts in 2019 as a way of getting the local church to be more active in practising faith in a practical, more meaningful way in the local area. Since 2019, the trust has grown and evolved into what it is today. We are aiming to not become static and stagnant. Rather, we want to be a charity that holds on to our foundations but develops, changes and grows so that we continue to be a dynamic, vibrant charity.
Where we’re going
Our aim is always to be a charity that looks to God for strength in all that we do, loving him, and loving our neighbours. This looks like fostering the local Church so that it loves, worships, and believes in what we stand for in our faith and in our wider community. We want to move as a community by putting one foot in front of the other, following what we believe to be God’s direction so that people can explore faith, benefit from events and activities that we put on, and receive help in practical ways.
